I don't know if anyone else has this issue, but the cards that allow you to discard other cards don't work. It brings up the card selection part and when you click the confirm button, it doesn't do anything.

Could you tell me the name of this card?

All the cards that have to do with choosing other cards to discard, or draw from the discard do not work.

Hello! To help you with this, I need more details. Which version of the game are you playing? On what platform? At what exact moment does the issue occur? Does an error message appear on the screen? If yes, click the "Copy" button at the bottom left and paste the text in your comment.

Latest. PC. Any moment in the story (so random). I just get e critical error message that I can't copy (also uninstalled the game so yeah). I think it's not my job to test the game before releasing it. Good game furthermore. 

A two-person team with full-time jobs outside this game's development doesn't have too many testing options, but we're doing our best :) 

Additionally, updates are released on Patreon earlier than here, and in three weeks, none of the 300 users reported such an issue. Therefore, I suspect the problem lies on your device's side. Unfortunately, without access to it, I can't even guess what might be wrong—let alone fix it. That's why I asked for logs or any information about what's happening.

If it's not too much trouble, could you send me the log files from your last two gaming sessions? They're located in the system folder: C:\Users[USER_NAME]\AppData\LocalLow\Wild Pear\Magic Academy and are named Player.log and Player-prev.log.

You can upload them to any file-sharing service or send them to us via Discord. I’d be very grateful.

I wasn't trying to diminish your work. I understand independent  game developers probably do this part time. 

That makes sense. I was a bit dissapointed that I got these crashes and some indie games just do crash because of hasy coding I guess, but indeed your game is tested by early access. As said, I've moved on instead of waiting around so sorry for not getting into this further. I saw the logs referred to a crash report, which I don't have anymore. I'm about to buy a new PC as this one is an older workstation laptop which is starting to have trouble playing more demanding games and unable to decently run newer Unreal 5 games as well now I think of it. Good luck with your game. I might pick it up again later.

Is there a problem with the Eli missions? I can't do them, Rose wasn't a problem but I want that Eli route.

Which version are you playing? Elizabeth's missions were added in 0.5.2.

well, there's Elizabeth (my personal favorite), Audrey and Grace at the moment. But mostly they are big boobas, men I love big boobas.

Have you tried to save in Journey? 

How does it work, seems like the game remembered I had saves when I tried it out the last time?

Hi, I finished the last public version before this one (public 0.4.5) and now trying to play the new public version 0.5.0.2 with my save, i´m not getting any new quests or anything no matter how many days i pass, will i have to make a new game? 

Also i´m absolutly loving the game, the graphics, the art, the storyline and the gameplay, everything is incredible.

With the awkwardness root quest, I'm unsure if the tasks were supposed to be completed in a specific order, or if I'm supposed to find a specific item, but I'm soft locked on "travel to forest day" and can't progress.

Unfortunately, it's mandatory now. But you can set the difficulty to the lowest level—that will make progression much easier.

i couldn't find it in the settings. where do u turn the difficulty down?

You can select the difficulty before each adventure. When you click the spot under the "Start" button, there should be a difficulty option. Though I don't remember if it's already in the public version. I think it should be.

You can try the free version. As the developer, it's hard for me to estimate the playtime—I already know all the dialogues and where to go :)

Absolutely great game, had it on Android for a while and the new mini game with exploring the portals is a lot of fun. But it is overheating my phone and crashing after a short while. 

It might be my phone is the issue, but I'm going to redownload and restart on PC so I can keep playing.

Wow, that's strange. The game isn't particularly demanding. Maybe you have some special mode that boosts FPS? Try capping it at 30 or 60 if you find a way to do that.

Great suggestion! I'll see if I can find a fix for it. Still think it's my actual phone though, I have a lot of apps that are probably making it work harder when I play this game too lol

  I think I have a bug, I decide to play because it been a long time, but I can't go to journey, everything is lock and im now stuck in the story. Is there a way to correct that or do I have to start a new game?

Alas. I think you'll have to start from the beginning. Apparently, you've missed quite a few updates, and in one of them, the quest system was changed. You can try starting a New Game+—to do this, load your save, open the menu, and select the corresponding option. This will let you begin a new game while keeping all your current resources.

You need to go to the "Forest edge" (it's the location near the sawmill) in the evening. It's possible that the current quest doesn't explicitly state this. This will be fixed in the new version.

Downloaded the game and try opening game it just loads and never stops

Please try moving the game folder to a location closer to the root of the disk, for example: C:/games/MagicAcademy. The game resources path might be too long (exceeds the engine's character limit).

what do we do with the blueprints for items we find

Before starting the journey, you can change the equipment you'll take with you. Blueprints are the "schematics" for this equipment. This means if you complete the adventure with a blueprint, you'll be able to choose new items.

Dawg, the dungeon fights are too hard lol. Definitely try to tone the difficulty down a bit in the future updates because it's ridiculous. Aside from that, great game and I'm really looking forward to new stuff from you

Hi! Yes, we already implemented this in update 0.5. It introduced difficulty settings for Journey, which adjust your health, mana, and enemy HP.

The update is expected to go public around early June when the new update for payed version.

I think it's hard until you can start with the explosion card that does ten damage (or any other all damage card). If you can get that, then it becomes a breeze.

Hey, do I need to play until a certain point in the game to be able to save, or is there no option to save in the web version? It doesn't appear in the pause menu for me

The web version is a short demo. In it, saving will only be possible at the end, and you'll be able to export that save to the main game.

Hola, antes que nada felicitarte por el juego sinceramente muy bueno, ahora bien tengo una consulta, estoy atascado en un punto, no puedo completar la mision "camara mágica" no hay forma en que pueda derrotar al jefe, por lo menos no con lo que dispongo, que me estoy perdiendo? Si todas las recompensas se convierten en "polvo" las cartas son siempre las misma, como se supone que derrote a un rival que me dobla en saludo, etc? seguramente me estoy perdiendo algo como dije antes pero es una lastima, estoy atascado ahi, es la unica mision que tengo, no puedo pasarla y tampoco aparecen nuevas misiones ni nada mas que hacer en el juego :(

¡Hola! Lamentablemente, para avanzar en la historia, necesitas derrotar a ese jefe. Puedes empezar luchando contra enemigos más débiles para fortalecer tu mazo. También puedes visitar construcciones especiales en el mapa, ya que algunas ofrecen bonificaciones poderosas que pueden ayudarte en combate.

Antes de la batalla, usa el botón "Campamento" en la esquina superior izquierda para curarte por completo. Además, a veces los enemigos sueltan recetas de objetos fuertes: puedes salir del mapa a través del portal para fabricarlos y equipártelos antes de intentarlo de nuevo.

Otra opción es esperar a la versión 0.5 en el lanzamiento público, donde se añadió la opción de seleccionar la dificultad. ¡Mucha suerte!
